What people talks?

Big and heavy, but built for a lot of continuous use – plenty of ventilation and the case and sockets that come with it are perfect and built well. Air wrenches are the way to go if you are looking for precision, though. With this electric and any other one, you need to finish off your job with a torque wrench. anthony

I bought this primarily to put on and take off snow tires on my own cars and it seems like a very good solution for non heavy duty use. It certainly beats taking off lug nuts manually. I’ll probably find many more uses for it in construction and I did not want to have have to find and fire up a compressor for each use so this electric model is perfect. It looks fairly well made and if Kawasaki is proud enough to put their name on it, then it might hold up reasonably well. peter

This item is very good. Has plenty of power to remove lug nuts on cars and trucks. Also I will be using it to disassemble engines. For the price, weight and power I don’t think you can beat it. robert

i needed this to remove the bolts on the phlange of my car exhaust. it took the nuts right off, with no hesitation. i only used it that once, so my thumbs up is somewhat limited, but thumbs up! cliffdiver53

Great tool, great price. Had a problem lug nut that wouldn’t budge with this tool, but was able turn with a 24″ breaker bar after applying WD40(and 255lbs jumping on it). I haven’t had much experience with pneumatic impact wrenches, so it’s hard to compare. It certainly beats cranking up a large air compressor. male nurse

I use this to work on my old jeep, and change/rotate tires on all of my vehicles. I have used it to install bumpers, a lift kit, and nerf bars on my jeep. It is fast, powerfull, and esy to use. It comes with a great case and the 4 sockets as seen. I have not had any problems with this impact wrench, and for the work I do I don’t forsee needing to replace it anytime soon. I had heard I should spend the extra money to buy something heavier duty, but am glad I didn’t. This thing is overkill for 99% of the work I do. I am not a mechanic, and do not use it daily, but I installed all the stuff listed above on my jeep with this and it worked great. d-bo

I purchased this tool to remove my vehicle’s Lugs in a snap. This tool makes my brake changing jobs a lot easier. Make sure you purchase the deep socket impact wrench set. rodriguez

What people talks?

This thing will remove your log nuts with ease. Be careful when tightening this thing is a monster. meir

Make no mistake.. it may be electric, but this thing is a very serious tool. First, it is BIG and HEAVY. The Amazon “Product Details” lists it at 17.2 LBS which sounds accurate. It will give your wrist a workout just holding it up, but it is worth it for the shear power it pumps out. It removes lug nuts with ease. I performed a brake job with it, and it saved me a huge amount of time and work. Because it is so powerful, it really doesn’t twist in your hands as I expected it would. ian

I install garage doors, and my impact wrench is my number one weapon. I have owned a 14.4 Milwaukee, 14.4 DeWalt, 18v DeWalt, and now this one. I had to send the Milwaukee back numerous times because of it’s poor build quality. I have had motors die on the DeWalt due to its poor cooling design. There are small plastic fins in the motor which move air and keep the motor cool, and they have broken of on every DeWalt impact I have owned. I have been using the Hitachi for more than 4 months without a problem. I look actually look forward to using it. The battery stays secured to the drill, even after a four five foot fall. I laughed at the little light it comes with at first, but it has come in handy in dark garages. The torque is strong enough to pull the lug nuts of a wheel hub, and the battery life is stellar. One battery will get me through multiple double sized garage door installs. The DeWalt would kill at least too full batteries in only one install. It’s safe to say that one Hitachi lithium-ion batter = 3+ DeWalt NiCads. james

I am a Hitachi fan converted over from Makita. I use this Hitachi WR18DL 18-volt Cordless Impact Wrench to change flat tires on my 2 construction trailers. This Hitachi takes the drudgery out of changing flat tires.
Now I am also using it instead of my air impact wrench around my shop, etc. etc. NO AIR HOSES NEEDED. benjamin

Have had impact wrench for few weeks. It is very light and the battery’s hold charge very well. The work light is a nice option.
Works well to disassemble engine parts etc.  The only possible negative is it has a tough time with wheel nuts. However it really is not rated as high a tork range as a air impact. Overall meets all my expectations. thomas

One thing about Hitachi Li-Ion tools that gets overlooked is their battery technology. All Li-Ion batteries are not alike! Hitachi uses the same nano-phosphate formula that DeWalt uses. This technology allows the cycle-life of these batteries to be tripled over the standard manganese (Milwaukee and pretty much everyone else uses this) to 1000-1500 cycles. Manganese Li-Ion only lasts 300-500 cycles – same as NiCd and NiMH. You will need new batteries a lot less often with Hitachi and DeWalt as a result. devercelly

This tool unscrews nasty, stuck-on nuts and bolts like they were held in by wax. There was only one bolt that this tool couldn’t get out. I hate that freaking bolt. bond

This impact wrench is amazing. Typically great quality….I have several other Bosch power tools and they are all great as well. This wrench is lightweight, powerful and compact. Great for auto, atv, snowmobile, etc. vasallo

As a mechanic, it is sometimes not practical to use air tools when doing interior work because of the air hose. I love this little impact for dash work (I use an adapter) because it’s so small and quick at removing bolts, nuts, and screws without dragging an air hose into a customer’s nice vehicle. Also, this Bosch item was $60 cheaper than Dewalt brand and $100.00 cheaper than Snap-On’s 3/8″ 14.4 volt Impact! BTW, the Bosch warranty is 2 years on the batteries and 3 years on the gun. Snap-On and Dewalt were only 1 year then you have to pay more $$$. I recommend this highly for it’s light weight, power, and compact size. nascarfrk

I bought this impact wrench to work on my old Camry 95 DX. Its a great tool for removing old nuts and bolts. I bled the brakes and replaced brake pads all with smart usage of this wrench. This wrench as the maximum torque rating for its price. I got it for $129.00+free shipping. In the hindsight had I done my research I would’ve got an impact driver with a chuck to use as impact wrench. I tried finding a chuck to use this impact wrench as impact driver but there’s only ONE chuck, Cowan chuck available with any impact driver!! But for my usage this is a great product and I highly recommend it even for regular usage. Feels sturdy and solid. If you shell a little more get the Dewalt. A good competitor for this one is the Craftsman impact driver. janorkar

I purchased this item as a christmas gift for my girlfriend. I’m so certain she will love it. I’ve played with it a little bit and it seems to work very well. emb

The tool isn’t really heavy, but when you hold it, it feels like something with some substance to it. I really like the compact length, because you can get in there and use where you need it. When you add up this, plus the great warranty, and the great price here on Amazon, and its awfully hard to pass up (I couldn’t find a better deal!). I would recommend this to anyone. clark

I’ve only used this a few times as I only received it a month or so ago, but so far I am impressed. It’s not a light weight tool. In fact it seems to be built like a tank. But it is well balanced and fairly easy to use with one hand. It has plenty of torque, and the toggle power switch is easy to use, although it may take a little getting used to. I guarantee you will run it the reverse direction of what you want once or twice till you get used to it. wi diy

The wrench seems somewhat powerful, but I found a couple of (maybe frozen?) lugnuts this guy could not take off. It was on a ’03 Corolla (I think using 21 mm nuts), which is not even close to a tank. I don’t know if the car’s lugnuts were put on by impact guns before at a shop, but I had no problems with any of the other lugnuts on that car.  rob

I use it on a daily basis and wouldn’t use anything else. Nothing else compares, and I’ve tried snapon, dewalt, and a few other brands. daniel

I bought this to replace my Dewalt heavy duty impact wrench 18v XRP set. I got sick and tired of everytime I needed it – the batteries were dead. Right from the start I have been extremely impressed with this tool, the power is great, I have been working on vehicles and farm equipment for more then 40 years – I used this to remove the 2 1/2″ blade holding nuts from a large bush hog – rusted and pacted with debris, it is hard to believe how fast and efficient this tool is. It is stronger then my previous air impact wrenches and much handier out in the field. Too bad I cannot give it more then 5 stars because it deserves it. With the 18v makita lithium ion batteries – it is always ready to go – even months after the last time it was charged. carnes
