ALOT of torque
By E. Oliver
The Thunder Gun will rattle out almost any old rusty bolt or spin off almost any nut you can put it on. The ones that are stuck really good, well it will twist them off. I have had it twist several 1/2" and a few 5/8" bolts that were rusted in solid.
I use this gun for work on big rigs and farm tractors. Can't beat it for the money. Just be sure to upgrade your hose and fittings to give it plenty of air.
The only downfall is that it uses alot of cfm at load. It will tap a smaller compressor if you are using it heavily.

Pricey but mostly worth it.
By William H. Hennegan
For a while, I just used your average generic $50 impact wrench on lug nuts, etc. Had to use a breaker bar often, but it got the job done. I finally figured, what's the point of having an impact wrench that can't remove a lug nut without help? So, enter the Thunder Gun. Pricey, but attractive, and it had positive reviews all around. IR's reputation is a plus too.
The gun came in, but air leaked from the air strainer assembly right out of the box. A new tool like this should be flawless, so I requested an exchange from Amazon. Amazon handled this very well by shipping out a replacement the next day. Unfortunately, that one had the same problem when it arrived.
At this point, I've assumed it's just the same poor quality control I've become accustomed to with anything made in the USA now.
I bit the bullet and spent 10 minutes fixing this myself: 24mm socket to remove the air strainer assembly; wrap generously with teflon tape; replace air strainer assembly. Problem solved. Again, just ticked this wasn't done when it was built.
I would still recommend this impact wrench if you have the money for it, just be aware of a possible leak.
Very powerful; loud but not deafening.
